We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations and ensuring a smooth workflow. Your responsibilities will include assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and collaborating with the kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals to our customers. Responsibilities:
- Assist the kitchen staff in food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and measuring ingredients.
- Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables.
- Properly store ingredients, supplies, and equipment, following food safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Dispose of waste and garbage in designated areas, adhering to recycling and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, checking for quality and quantity accuracy.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and assembly of meals.
- Follow recipes and instructions provided by the kitchen staff to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handwashing and wearing appropriate protective gear.
- Assist in cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas.
- Support the kitchen staff during busy periods by performing tasks such as plating, garnishing, and delivering dishes to the serving area.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Helper or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
