electricity distribution network, as well as an advanced fibre optic communications network. Being locally owned and operated

network and supporting the local community.


What does the role involve?
Are you a self-starter, who wants to learn on the job with fantastic opportunities for future development? As a Trades
Assistant you will get the opportunity to work in each of our specialist teams, initially starting in Traffic Management, then
progressing where the need is which could be through our Overhead, Underground, Electrical, Inspection, and Stores teams,
covering both field and office-based work. This means you can choose to forge a career in our industry while also being
mentored by staff who can pass on their knowledge and experience. We have two permanent roles available working 40 hours
a week Monday to Friday, however there is also the option of working a 9 Day Fortnight (80 hours across 9 days, with the 10 th
day off – think long weekends every 2 weeks!) depending on operational needs.


About You
You’re a team player with a desire to learn. You show respect to those around you and act with honesty and integrity in all that you
do. You will need to have the flexibility to get the job done and the courage to take accountability for your actions. You’ll receive a
full uniform, PPE gear including boots, on-site parking and the benefit of EA Networks’ modern premises including an expansive
breakroom, as well as a great hourly rate. No experience is needed as we will provide all training needed for you to develop and
excel in the role.

Got what it takes?

  • Traffic management qualifications STMS or TMO would be advantageous but full training will be provided for the right
applicant.
  • Class 1 Drivers license (Class 2 Drivers License advantageous)
  • NCEA Level 2 (ideally NCEA Level 3) or equivalent
  • Physical fitness and agility
  • Comfortable working at heights, such as up a ladder or in an EWP (Elevated Work Platform)
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
