What you will be doing:

As People Operations Specialist, you will play a valuable role in setting up our expansion into Europe. You will be responsible for getting our brand new Amsterdam office up and running smoothly. We’re looking for an organized, positive, and driven individual who will ensure a streamlined employee experience and contribute to the development of our HR processes and policies in Europe.

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days in office. Required days in the office are Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday, with flexibility Wednesday and Friday. (Subject to adjusting)

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HQ in the U.S. to strategically grow the PassiveLogic Europe team into a strong, talented, and resilient workforce
  • Champion the people experience, ensuring each interaction mirrors the innovative, inclusive, and energetic culture we have cultivated
  • Work with hiring managers and the People Team to onboard and welcome new team members
  • Strategically cultivate relationships with Universities to develop potential talent pipelines.
  • Take care of the day-to-day operations of the office such as stocking snacks and drinks, implementing office policies and procedures in conjunction with HQ, coordinating events and meetings, and other logistics
  • Administer payroll and benefits and maintain company-wide processes and initiatives

You must have:

  • Fluency in English
  • The ability and willingness to work in the Amsterdam office a minimum of 3 days a week
  • Strong familiarity with HR practices in Europe including benefits, work culture, and perks
  • Strong self-motivation with the ability to support the People Operations Team
  • A friendly, approachable personality — ability to communicate effectively with everyone you meet both in verbal and written communication
  • A desire to create an exceptional employee experience
  • A flexible and open-minded attitude to problem-solving
  • An empathetic, people-first approach to HR regulations and processes
  • Experience handling administrative tasks, managing stock and supplies, and ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained
  • A strong, process-oriented / systems approach to all projects you are involved in
  • Ability to demonstrate strong tech literacy and savvy

You should have:

  • Fluency in Dutch
  • Experience with payroll and benefits
  • A team-oriented mindset — understanding the balance between independent responsibilities and collaborative work streams

It’s nice to have:

  • Startup experience
  • Passion for technology and sustainability
  • Experience in a co-working space
