The internship starts in September 2023, and is for a period of 5-6 months.
To start with, the position of Supply Chain CP M&SP Intern sits comfortably in the Central Planning Team for Machines & Spare Parts at the international headquarter based in Utrecht office. An incredible diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. Just how we like it! And as a Supply Chain CP M&SP Intern you will support the DRP planner within the central planning team for machines & spare parts (CP M&SP). Within the DRP business unit we are responsible for the replenishment of the local JDE entities from our central warehouse. Focusing on the aggregated forecast, creating the optimal replenishment strategy towards the markets, managing our warehouse & distribution service providers and a multitude of continuous improvement projects. For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:
- Support the DRP Planner with day-to-day planning activities.
- Operate as a key stakeholder in maintaining and improving the documentation of our (continuously changing) operating standards and procedures.
- Initiate and implement improvements within the DRP cycle by utilizing the available data sources and metrics.
- Actively contribute to recurring data analysis on supply, demand and the stock within our global network of warehouses.
- Have the opportunity to be an equal member of a dynamic team with a key role in the global supply chain of JDE.

We do, of course, take into consideration your interest in Supply Chain and how comfortable you are in a highly data driven working environment. but ultimately we look at the bigger picture. But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:
- A strong command in English, as this is our business language.
- Advanced skills in Excel and preferably power BI.
- The characteristic of a team player with key internal & external stakeholder management skills.
- The ambition to be an equal member of our dynamic IHQ Supply Chain organisation.
Important: To be considered as a candidate for this internship,
- EU/EEA students: you need to be enrolled at a University for the whole duration of the internship and this needs to be a mandatory part of your study curriculum. In case of voluntarily internship purpose, a tri-parties agreement may be requested to be signed by you and your university.
- Non-EU/EEA students: you need to be enrolled at a Dutch University and your university needs to sign the Nuffic Agreement. The internship needs to be a compulsory part of your studies (eg, receive ECTS in turn).

Within the Supply Chain a lot of disciplines come together, so multiple academic fields will be applicable. We are however looking for a student in the last bachelor degree year or in a master programme.

Internship Allowance
- Based on a fulltime 40 hour workweek, the monthly internship allowance is € 450,- for a HBO student or € 500,- for a WO student, additionally, you will get paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.
- Monthly Commuting allowance:
- In principle, you will be using your student public transportation card (student OV-chipcard /studentenreisproduct) for daily commuting.
- If you are not eligible for the student OV-chipcard, JDE offers a commuting allowance. Compensation for commuting expenses, starting from a minimum distance of 5 kilometers one way, up to a maximum of:
- 35 kilometers à € 19ct per km (according to the temporary arrangement) when travelling by own transportation;
- 45 kilometers (max. € 294.50 based on public transport fees) per month for travel by public transportation.
- Should you relocate to the city of your based office (Amsterdam or Utrecht), you will receive a monthly relocation compensation of up to a maximum of € 175. In this case, the commuting allowance will be not applicable. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.
