Tigers Childcare are looking for two experienced cleaner and a dishwasher to join their team of childcare professionals at our creche in Douglas, Cork.
Contract: Permanent, part-time
Start: ASAP (subject to reference checks & Garda vetting clearance)
Rate of Pay: €13.00
Hours: 6.00pm - 8.00pm (Monday-Friday)

Duties & Responsibilities of a Creche Cleaner:
- To take day-to-day responsibility for the cleanliness of the creche and to ensure this is maintained on a daily basis.
- Complete all cleaning duties allocated by the creche Manager within the appropriate time scales and to the required standard.
- Washing and Buffing the floors.
- Awareness of/compliance with Health and Safety Regulations as directed by the creche Manager.
- To ensure high standards of cleanliness within the creche at all times.
- Vacuuming the floors, carpets in each room and lobby.
- Washing all floors.
- Emptying bins for deposit in a recognised area for external collection
- Cleaning internal glass on doors & windows.
- Polishing (using approved products) and dusting of designated areas (to include sanitary areas and associated facilities), using where appropriate, the necessary powered equipment.
- Ensure adequate cleaning / housekeeping supplies are kept & orders given to manager to inform the office at the end of the month.
- Cleaning, tidying and storage of equipment after use.
- Maintain toilets and sanitary areas and ensure they are fully supplied with soap, tissue and hand towels.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly deep clean of equipment as per checklists.
- Participate in ‘deep cleaning’ specified areas when necessary in order to maintain standards around all areas.
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists as required.
- Attend meetings and undergo training as required.
- Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years cleaning experience preferably in a creche facility.
- Candidates must have knowledge of good hygiene practices.
- Candidates must have some experience using a buffer machine.
- Candidates must be self-motivated and be able to identify and complete task without direct supervision.
- Candidates who have undertaken Manual Handling training are preferred.
- Candidates must provide 2 x written references and copy of qualification certificates at time of interview.
- Candidate details will be submitted for Garda Vetting.
- International Vetting required if candidate has lived outside of the jurisdiction for a period of 3 months or more
