Part Time It Specialist [United States]


 

Part-time/On call

Our organization is looking for a part-time/on-call IT Specialist to assist us with our day-to-day operations. The IT Specialist Provides technical support for network issues, and telephone issues monitor network system performance, and provides user hardware, software, and network problem resolution. Provides support to standalone computers and networked satellite offices.

Compensation:

$25 - $35 hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Delivers, sets up, and assists in the configuration of end-user PC desktop hardware, software, peripherals, and IP phones. (Including, but not limited to, server installation and configuration, systems backup, security management, and user account management.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Manages small to medium-sized projects according to agreed-upon budgets and schedules.
  • Assists in orientation and training of new staff.
  • Assists with technology planning through ongoing research.
  • Monitor the network performance and efficiency, analyze reported problems, and review restoration procedures.
  • Participate in testing and evaluating new technologies; coordinate, test, and implement newly approved products; ensure successful integration of new components.
  • Keep the supervisor informed of site issues and problems.
  • Should be able to obtain secret clearance, if required.
  • Maintain helpdesk trouble reporting system.
  • Travel to satellite offices to troubleshoot/resolve network and desktop issues.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in an IT role.
  • Must have solid knowledge and experience with Windows, Google Suites, and Microsoft Office.
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license, have use of a motor vehicle, and provide evidence of automobile liability insurance.
