Completions Manager (18 months fixed-term)

We are currently seeking a Completions Manager to join our Honeywell Building Technology (HBT) team in our Waikeria Site office. Reporting to the Program Director, your primary role is to lead and complete the construction of the Electronic Security Systems (ESS) for our project based in Waikeria. The role involves planning, executing, controlling all aspects of ESS installation work, following, and monitoring the programme of works and the responsibility of timely fulfilment of the requirements of the project’s established quality manager systems.
This role will oversee projects including main contractors’ construction and building services teams for all matters concerning build activities, including related commercial and contractual aspects (i.e Change notices, notice of delays etc).
Key Responsibilities:
- Interact with the Engineering team with regards to buildability, as and if required
- Manage sub-contractor evaluate, monitor, and control their performance
- Meet operational standard by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews
- Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards, resolve problems, identify and implement construction management system improvements
- Meet construction budget by monitoring build expenditures including identifying variances and opportunities, corrective actions, provide annual operating and capital budget information
- Achieve construction results by defining purpose and scope, calculating, and allocating resources required, establishing standards and protocols
- Evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions, assisting with the resolution design issues and estimation and implementation of design orders
- Assist and drive HSE on site including protocols
- Site management for the installation in accordance with Honeywell standards and schedule
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction Management (preferred)
- A minimum of five years’ experience in related industry
- Knowledge of general construction and quality project management, including management of installation subcontractors and HSE
- Knowledge of ICT/ELV/Security/Instrumentation systems (ideal)
- Highly proficient in all key areas of project management
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Strong attention to details,
- Can take ownership of all facets and requirement of the role.
- Analytical and great problem-solving skills
- Driven and able to build team building skills
- Strong time management skills
