Team Lead Operational Procurement

The Supply Chain Management (SCM) department in OTL are looking for:

  • A person to lead the Operational Procurement team supporting our internal customers in the OTL groups; Operations and Odfjell Well Services.
  • A person to lead the Operational Procurement team supporting our internal customers in the ODL group.

The successful candidates will lead a dynamic team of Operational Purchasers and work closely with the many highly competent and motivated teams within OTL. The primary workplace will be at our head office in Bergen, but some travel activity should be expected.

Key personnel responsibility:
Line manager responsibility for the team, including performance reviews and development talks
Be a discipline advisor to the team
Ensure good flow of information through regular team meetings
Define areas of responsibility within the team
Distribute tasks to ensure best use of competence and capacity
Ensure the quality, prioritization and completion of daily activities
Monitor and forecast capacity within the team
Recruit, preboard and onboard new personnel
Personnel training and development
Facilitate and contribute to good working environment

Key performance responsibility:
Contribute to reduce environmental emissions
Contribute to reduce cost
Contribute to increase auto purchases and digital processes
Ensure sourcing strategies are aligned with company goals and objectives
Ensure that implemented procedures, purchasing systems and routines are followed
Seek to improve, update and develop procedures, purchasing systems and routines
Motivate and guide the team
Contribute to provide excellent customer service
Contribute to good collaboration across disciplines and business areas
Monitor KPI's and encourage continuous improvement
Initiate and participate in internal and external audits or performance reviews

Qualification requirements:
Strong educational background with minimum a Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline area or documented extensive experience
Minimum 5 years relevant experience
Good knowledge of IT tools and systems within area of responsibility
Good knowledge of English, both written and oral

Ability to identify and recommend processes improvements
